What is included in the quoted price?
All elements of the cabin to make a weather tight structure.
What is not covered in the price?
Build costs, transport from Finland, kitchen and bathroom furniture, any fixtures and fittings, site prep and groundworks.
What are payment terms?
Transport and 50% of total price with order, 40% on delivery of cabin and 10% balance to be paid with erection costs if required.
Is there a self build option?
The cabins can be provided as a kit for self build provided adequately qualified personal are employed. We will be happy to supervise self build options. Extra costs will be charged on a daily basis plus travel food and accommodation expenses. (see price list)
Do you offer a cabin build option?
Yes, subject to your builder preparing either slab or pillar foundations as required we will erect the entire structure excluding internal and external wood protection, this being your responsibility to complete. Wood stain and water based varnish are provided as part of the purchase of the cabin.
Do you offer alternative cabin types?
There are currently two cabin types options size variations and alternative structures will be considered but would take longer to process. Charges would be made for alternative customised design options.
How long will it take before I get my log cabin?
We would normally expect a six week period from receipt of deposit cheque and order. This may be improved upon at certain times of the year.
Who will do the ground works for the cabin?
You are responsible to provide either a slab foundation or the required foundation and piers support necessary to support the cabin. We will provide accurate instructions and drawings for your builder to follow. This work is straightforward for a professional builder to follow.
What about any internal work?
This work has to be completed by the customer to suit individual tastes and requirements. Because of the raised pier construction access for services, electric, water and drains are easily accommodated via the floor or through the walls of the cabin if slab foundation is used .
Do I need planning permission to build?
Providing the cabins are supported on piers, planning is not required in Spain as the cabin is considered a temporary structure. On a concrete slab the cabin may require Spanish planning approval depending on the local planning policy.
Will the cabins be warm enough in the winter and cool enough in summer?
Log cabins are extremely thermally efficient providing excellent heat retention and yet keeping cool in summer. A small wall mounted air conditioning unit (around 13000btu with power consumption of 1.35kw) will provide heat and cooling for both one and two bedroom cabins.
